Bookings must be made with ANU Sport each time you want to use a court outside of session times. To book, email ANU Sport on sport@anu-sport.com.au or use their website booking portal.

Please refer to the ANU Sport Facility Terms & Conditions before booking the ANU Tennis Courts. Standard booking fees apply for ANUTC members booking the ANU Tennis Courts without purchasing the ANUTC Booking Package.

Each court hire requires it’s own booking and you are advised to book at least 24 hours in advance. To be able to secure the courts, you must obtain a confirmation receipt from ANU Sport prior to each booking and may be required to show this receipt as proof. You may only book up to two weeks in advance and regular bookings are not permitted with the ANUTC Booking Package.

Please be aware that competition bookings must take precedence due to the organisation required with other teams across Canberra. As such, your booking may be overridden to allow for any rescheduled matches to continue. You will be contacted as early as possible via the email attached to the booking. Any fees and benefits associated with your booking will be refunded, including the two hour free court hire.

Mistakes can happen from time to time, so please be respectful and patient where there are any misunderstandings. If there are any disputes regarding court bookings, please contact ANU Sport reception to seek clarification.

Booking Package

The ANUTC Booking Package is an additional product provided by ANU Tennis Club in collaboration with ANU Sport. It is only available to those with a current ANUTC Membership, and is for recreational use only. If you would like to discuss commercial use of any ANU Tennis Courts, please contact ANU Sport.

Breach of the rules may give grounds to termination of both your membership and booking package benefits.

Similar to the ANUTC Membership, the Booking Package is not a recurring product and the rules may change from year to year, so it is recommended to read through these rules before you purchase an ANUTC Booking Package.

The ANUTC Booking Package includes the following benefits:

There are two benefits that come with purchasing an ANUTC Booking Package: Court Hire benefits and Court Access benefits. These benefits are only applicable for the Tennis Courts available on the ANU Sport Booking Portal.

Court Hire: Those with an ANUTC Booking Package receive a discounted court hire rate of $8 per hour, or as otherwise determined by ANU Sport, which is updated yearly.

For bookings during daylight hours, when the court lights are OFF (generally before 5-7pm, based on Daylight Savings), the first two hours of court hire (for the first booking of the day) are also free. All remaining times of a booking that do not meet these conditions will be charged at the discounted court hire rate.

NOTE: As of 15 Oct 2025, ANUTC has been advised that the court lights are turning on at 7:00pm.

Court Access: Those with an ANUTC Booking Package can also access the available tennis courts via:

  • ANU ID for ANU Students and Staff; or
  • ANU Sport access card for all other Associates.

NOTE: Associates who require an ANU Sport access card will need to pay a $30 holding deposit upon collection, which is refunded once the card is returned to ANU Sport reception.
